1 Day Trip to JB

Time to update my 1 day trip to Johor Bahru (JB).

Frankly speaking, it was my 1st time taking bus from SG to JB with my poly gfs. We had arranged to meet at the MacDonalds @ Bugis Village at 8am. Sounds early but in fact it is not. But I had to confess that I was late for 20mins, thus by the time I reached, my friends were all waiting for me. My bad. Oh yes, I was going with Jasmine, Dawn and Celine.

After reaching Bugis, we walked across the road (opposite MacDonald) and kept walking straight. You will see a bus terminal where people are queuing to take the shuttle bus to Woodland Checkpoint. In case I forget, the boarding place is at Queen Street. The frequency of the bus was quite fast and we managed to board the bus without hassle. The bus ticket cost $2.50 for each pax. Quite cheap right, isn't it?

It was quite peaceful and lucky day for us. There was no jam and by the time we reached Woodland Checkpoint, it was only 9am. After that we rushed down and boarded the same bus. Now the bus crossed the borders to JB, surprisingly there was NO queue. We reached Malaysia customs at only 9:30am. Super early right? Haha

Since the time was early, we decided to head to KSL City first. Well, the easier way is to take a cab just right below the overhead bridge. There is a taxi counter. We just need to let the staff know our destination and they will assign the cab driver to drive us there. It only required MYR 10 (i.e. around $3.50) for the journey.

By the time we reached, there weren't many shops opened. Fortunately, the Thai Odessey (Lvl 2) was already opened before 10am. So we decided to pop in and made an appointment for foot reflexology at 11am. The rate for 60mins foot reflexology cost MYR 63.60 (with tax). Since we did not take any breakfast, we had a breakfast at JCO Cafe, selling doughnuts and coffee. This can be found in SG, just that we ran out of choices of what to eat for breakfast.

Now is time for some beauty pampering. We did our nails at e.Artistic (address: L2-95, Lvl 2, KSL City). The staff were all very young and friendly. I did a classic gelish manicure and pedicure. Initially I wanted to do a Pororo nail art on my thumb, too bad the resolution of the picture was not clear, so it was rather a challenge for the manicurist to do for me. Then, I swapped the nail art picture to Owl instead. Well, owl is not a bad choice afterall they symbolise wisdom. I need that badly, Haha

I was pretty satisfied with the overall results including their service. I spent around MYR 240 in total for manicure and pedicure. After conversion, it cost only less than S$88. This is exactly what I usually paid for my nail art only at Ladyfinger (SG). Unbelievable!

Another stunning news is that singing 3hours of KTV only MYR98. After dividing equally among 4 of us, each pax is only MYR25 (i.e. less than S$10) per pax. Incredibly cheap! We had our dinner at Taang Shifu. All about herbs and soup. Nice and refreshing. Total meal cost MYR130.

Time to say goodbye. Though it is short, in overall we felt very fulfilling and satisfied. This was indeed a good beauty regime to start. Looking forward to next month.
