Actual Wedding Day Preparation - Part 1

Our customary wedding falls on 15th Nov 2015, which means we only left with less than 2.5 months to prepare. Frankly speaking, we haven't start my planning, needless to say, what wedding theme we intend to have.

Mr. S and I are so busy getting our stuffs move into our love nest...hopefully that we can start to move in after lunar 7th month. The cleaning of the house and moving all our stuffs, arranging here and there are indeed a tiring chore, but we enjoyed it totally! After all, this is our love nest, our future home together.

I shall blog on our new house in another post, now back to the topic.

Just when I was troubling on the actual wedding day itinerary, I recalled my friend had sent us a copy of her AD schedule. Phew, luckily I still managed to find that email. No need to start from scratch, at least there is a template.

After reading, I realize that...we need to plan for how many brothers and sister we need. Although Mr S and I said we do not want to have gate-crash, I still yearn of having a gate-crash though. It is once in a lifetime and it will be fun to see Mr. S playing the games. Perhaps we can just play the traditional game, 酸甜苦辣.

Some ideas which I secretly did my research online:

Food Bingo
The bridesmaids will arrange foods in a Bingo grid. Some ideas for the food items include celery, lady finger, wasabi sandwich, pure lemon juice, or any food that is not that pleasant tasting. While the groom would be calling out the numbers, the groomsmen will be eating the foods of the grid that tallies the number while the bridesmaids will be checking the number of a Bingo sheet. The first team to get 5 lines wins!

Getting in Frame
The players have to jump continuously and strive to be captured on the camera which is being placed above them. While jumping, they would also need to maintain an expression as requested by the bridesmaids. The catch here is – you will not know when the camera will snap so you would have to jump non-stop!
Although this might seem like a simple task, it gets really tiring as the time passes.

Not sure if this will take a long time to complete...well, we only have a game anyway...can slowly decide which game to play fast.

Next, will be the no. of brothers and sisters we need...this is another headache part! First, Mr. S does not have many friends in Singapore, while I do have some friends who can be my sisters. Probably I'm staying in the west, thus I feel bad in asking my best friends to be my "sisters". Second, with one sister pregnant, my list now left with 2 sisters. I need to gather another 2 sisters to help out. Arghhhhh!!!

Okay, I think as of now, the most important thing is to decide what theme we want for our wedding. C'mon we need more brain juice!!!! ~~~~~

Zoo-Date with My Hubby

My First time bringing my ah-lao Shiwei to Singapore Zoologicial Garden. We had a great time, walking and admiring the animals at the same time. Perhaps the weather was too hot until the animals also felt tired to entertain the visitors. Most of them were either sleeping or turning away from the sun.

I almost forgot the VIP Koala Bears which had flown through SQ to the Zoo. At the Australia Outback section, it states the estimated waiting time is around 40mins, but it never took us long to go in and see the koalas cuddling on the trees. Unlike the other animals, they were so relaxing, sleeping and hugging the trees in an air-conditioner room.

This is how one of the koalas looks. Snuggling deep in its sleep.

Since the koalas are not "corporative", I guess this has to be the best pic taken.

Bats filling up on the top ledge. Seriously, I wouldn't have known it if I did not raise up my head to look. It's pretty freaky !

"Kwang-Soo"!!! How can I missed taking a snapshot of the giraffe. Nice~

Porns!!! Haha~ I simply love this pic! The most captivating backside of the rhino!

My ah-Lao & me! Someone is trying to act punky with his cap tilted sideway. Lol~

Well I'm not going to upload all the photos, given the fact there are almost 100 over of photos taken.

Will update my next blog soon.

My One Week Trial of Xndo meals

It had been more than a week since I've taken Xndo meal replacement and their supplements. I used to be skeptical about Xndo products, as in how can a meal replacement really makes a person lose weight? Well, it really does! I would say it really works for me. In my previous post, I did mention I want to lose weight. So I decided to try out this Xndo out of curiousity.

The consultant is very friendly and patient towards me (cuz I was really unfamiliar in their products). First she would take down my weight, and recorded down as well as to calculate my body fats and BMI etc. It was really demoralising cuz my weight really affects me a lot! All these were recorded down in her report which she mentioned she would need to take my weight again after the 1st week. I followed the time-table. The one week trial guaranteed to lose 1kg.

Morning, I would take their morning goodness - ie redrice drink. It tastes like cereal actually. Afternoon, I would take their meal replacement. It comes different flavours and I can get to choose a different flavour for 7 days. Luckily my office has a microwave, so I just need to heat up the meal for about a min or so and that's it, my meal is ready for eating. As for dinner, it states that I can resume my own dinner. Just that before and after the meal I would need to drink the grape/mango and apple/peach drink. So far I had tried these flavours, and I personally like the grape and apple flavours. Lastly, before heading to bed, I still need to drink a glass of the enzyme drink (yoghurt or orange flavours). Both has the ability of building up the metabolism and blocking the fats. I love these drinks a lot.

This is a picture of the seafood laksa which I had tried. It really tasted like laksa though.

Now my result after a week....yeah!!! I had shed 1.5kg! I was so thrilled and I can't believe it! No matter how hard I had exercised, I can't even lose 1kg. However with this strict diet, little did I expect myself to lose that much of weight. It was indeed a little achievement for me.

Conclusion: So long as I watch my diet carefully, I can't see why I can get back to my desired weight as before.

Motto of the day: Jiayou! I can make it

Turning into a fat lady soon

Seriously I do not have weight issue before stepping into working society. No matter how much I ate, my weight remained ard 50kg or below...it never dawned upon me that one day, I will reach to a disastrous weight of 60kg or more. Unfortunately, it happened. This has given a tight slap on my face that I should wake up now and look at my weight seriously. How can I possibly gain 10+kg over these years? Well, why not? I've been sleeping late, snacking at all times & even hanging out with my friends till late night. All these poor management of socialisation had deeply impacted my health and my body.

Plus, in another 7 weeks more, I'm getting married! Woohoo~~ but look at me now, with a bulging tummy, flabby arms and thighs, how can I dress beautifully in that little tight white dress?

So how??? Until today, my BFF introduced me to GLOW - a dietary supplement. The ambassador of this product is Michelle Chia. C'Mon man, it's Michelle!!! She is already so slim and frankly speaking she's still taking this product???  I do reserve some doubts on the effectiveness of this product. However, my BFF did shed 4kg of her stubborn fats before her wedding and I did witness her change. She indeed had look more slim during her wedding. I told myself, why not give yourself a try? Ok fine. I went to Watson earlier and searched for this product. Great! Watson is having a discount for GLOW. Instead of the original price of $68, it's selling at $59 instead. Not bad afterall, yea I'm referring to the price. Okay, I got a good deal. So I bought it.

Is it effective? How does it taste? What is after effects after consumption? Seriously, I do not know. I will take it effective tomorrow. I shall give myself a two-week trial. Hopefully I can see some result by then. Jiayou jiayou!!! 💪💪💪💪

How does GLOW work?

Can't wait for tomorrow to come!!!  😝😝

ROM Preparation

Okay, it had been a long time since my last update. I've been occupied in my ROM preparation (though the date is set on 20-Dec-14). Of course, S & I had checked out and confirm this is an auspicious and doesn't clash with our zodiac. Cool! So date is fixed, what else?

Here is a simple checklist which I had come up with:
1) Auspicious Date
2) Solemnizer
3) ROM Venue
4) Filing e-notice of marriage
5) Guestlist
6) ROM dress fitting
7) Photographer
8) ROM decoration
9) Wedding bands

Wow! There are so many items to do... and I've not completed yet. Luckily, I still have another 2 months plus to plan ahead.

S initially wanted to cut the cost, thinking since it is only ROM which we can opt to invite friends or even solemnize outside. However, I beg to differ. We had intense arguments before we finally agreed, and of course, S gave up struggling with his idea. I WON! tsk tsk~

We had shortlisted the venues after sending umpteen times of emails to various hotels for the proposal. The 2 places are Our Marriage Vows @ The Biopolis and The Chevrons. We will be going down for site viewing before concluding the final venue for our solemnization. (will be posting the photos of the venues tomorrow)

As for the solemnizer, it was another headache for us too! We had been sending emails and sms-es to the licensed solemnizers, and all replied..."Sorry, I can't make it." or "Sorry, my schedule is full on that day" or "Sorry, I'll be going holiday with my family". Ouch! That's so disappointing! We are still not deterred by these failures, we continue to try, and finally...good news comes in! To be exact, this is our 7th attempt and it is successful! Our solemniser is Mr. Tam Chee Wah (referred by Mr. Peter Lee - our initial 2nd choice of JP). However, it seems that we are unable to google his photo. Never mind~

Next will be the Bridal Salon. Actually we did not hunt and compare the rates for various BS. We viewed the 2nd BS(My Dream Wedding) along Tanjong Pagar Road (even the name sounds so good too!) and were already mesmerized by their bridal shots. THEY WERE ALL AWESOMELY TAKEN! The best part is their photo effects are terrific! Love @ First Sight!

Now we had completed 2 tasks out of 9. Our next step is to forward the consent form to our solemnizer and quickly file for e-notice of marriage (S is anxious when we can start to e-file, haha)

“So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me... everyday.”

Singapore Night Festival 2014

It had been a long time since I went out with my 2nd sis. This time, we decided to cafe hop plus a little sightseeing at Singapore Night Festival. I've been to SNF last year for the first time and I really enjoyed myself. Not to mention the free entry to all museums but also you get to feel the artistry atmosphere in the air. The colorful lights embrace the buildings, making everyone look in awe. It was really awesome!

Our 1st stop is National Museum. Free entry! Woo hoo. Usual ticket price is $10 for Singaporean. I was still wondering why can't the NHB make it free entry for Singaporean. Well you want all of us to know our heritage and yet we have to pay. This is almost like we are tourists. Haiz!

We managed to see the Genesis - a photo exhibition taken by the world renowned photographer Sebastião Salgado. Using black and white, he managed to capture the unique shots of the living things. Love every single expression of the photos, they just seems so alive!
& there is this tree which I have to mention. Usually we won't notice it's existence in normal days. Perhaps due to the spotlight on the tree, many people were crowding in front of the tree and snapping photos. Why? If you see the picture below, you know why. The tree is cut out into a smiling face and it looks so real that is a little creepy thou. That's ART! But if you walk along the street at night and happens to look at the tree, oops...won't it be scary???
I'll be uploading some of pics which were taken on that day. Somehow a picture says a thousand words. Quite true right! Hahaha.

My Latest Updates

Guess what, I've turned to 30 this year. Old? Or perhaps I should just say it is young mature. Age is just a number, it is mind over matter. If you don't mind, it won't matter. Yeah... that is so true! Oops...I've sidetrack again.

Back to me again. This year it will be another challenging year for me. Not only for work but also for my personal life too. I'm getting married soon. Yes, you heard me! S & I have common goals and decided to settle down soon after dating for half a year. Perhaps to others, it may seems a short period and too rush to settle down. To us, we feel that it's time and not only that, our affection to each other is getting stronger and we can read each other thoughts despite of not talking.

Our wedding plans are actually simple. We wish to hold a simple solemnization with our close friends first. After that we will buy a resale HDB flat and followed by customary wedding. All these may take up to next year 1st half for completion. Our priority is to apply for a resale flat, thinking about it really makes me headache. I just hope and pray that everything will be smooth and yes...nothing will hold us back.
